There are certain events that stay with you for life. For me one such event was September 11 when those planes flew into the towers in New York City. I can remember the time, where I was and what I was doing.  On a simpler scale I still remember the day my father and I were in Belize City just across from the court house in down town and the Prime Minister drove up in his Land Rover.  I noticed the jeep stopped and the Prime Minister, the Honorable George C. Price, got out and came across the street and helped an old lady with a cane cross the street. WOW, that was impressive! He took the time to help an old lady.  I bet that lady voted for Mr. Price for the rest of her life because that incident remained in her mind.  And it stayed in my mind for all these years...

Consortium Donates School Supplies to Georgevile, Gales Point, Mahogany Heights & Crooked Tree

The Consortium of Belize informed the public on a press release on August 15th that “Back to School Supplies” were shipped to Belize destined for the communities of Georgevile, Gales Point, and Mahogany Heights. The supplies consist of bag packs, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, crayons, and other miscellaneous school items which have an estimated retail value of $3,500 US.
Distribution of the school supplies in the Georgevile community are intended to take place on August 19th, followed closely by distributions in Gales Point and Mahogany Heights.
